In his New York solo debut, the versatile baritone Christiaan Smith-Kotlarek joins forces with classical and jazz musicians from the renowned Juilliard School to deliver a spectacular showcase of what BroadwayWorld.com calls Christiaan's “powerhouse vocal talent.”

Christiaan, with such a voice, you ought to sing some Lieder and melodies. A few examples : “Befreit” (Richard Strauss) with its plunder-hearted way of loving; “o quand je dors” (Franz Liszt) -I can hear your falsetto-jump to the last unreachable top notes-; “Chanson triste” (Henri Duparc) showing human ruins hanging out of time; “Auf dem Wasser zu singen (Franz Schubert) river made of out of breath legato; “Weylas Gesang” (Hugo Wolf) words twisting irrational visions and “Widmung” (Robert Schumann) where you can see yourself telling your love to the other one. Those pieces and I are waiting for your tone and your renditions. Will you soon come to this appointment ? It would be so nice, so kind from you… (of course, I write here but I’ve listened Unusual way and Papageno too). Merci, Christiaan
